Reunion Information

How to Get to
Reunion...

If you are looking for a ride to and from Ithaca, or have room in your car and want some additional passengers, check out the university Reunion Rideshare Board posted on the Reunion 2006 website at www.alumni.cornell.edu/reunion. For transportation between Ithaca and New York City, the Office of Alumni Affairs has arranged a charter bus, which will leave the Cornell Club-NY in Manhattan on Thursday, June 8, at 9:00 a.m., arriving at the Statler at approximately 2:00 p.m. A return trip will leave the Statler on Sunday morning, June 11, at 10:00 a.m. The cost for a oneway or two-way ride will depend upon how many alumni sign up. Seating is limited and is first-come, first-served. For more information, call Alumni House at (607) 255-7085.

Parking on the North Campus lawns is prohibited. Arriving classmates are encouraged to drop off their luggage at Mews Hall, then park their vehicles in nearby designated lots. Vans will be available to shuttle classmates back to Mews Hall. If you’re concerned about getting around campus throughout the weekend, fear not, as we’ve planned for that. Buses have been scheduled to go to major class events, and vans will be available for our exclusive use. In addition, Reunion shuttle buses run from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. throughout the weekend. A van equipped to carry a wheelchair will also be available upon request. A map of the campus and surrounding areas will be mailed to you with your confirmation.

Financial Assistance

If you should find yourself in need of financial assistance to attend Reunion, we can help. Just call Pepper Fluke ’51 at (919) 489-9767, and we’ll do our
best to make it work for you. Your request will be strictly confidential.

An Opportunity to Contribute

Our 55th Reunion campaign to support the university is under way. We hope all classmates will consider contributing, at whatever level. Gifts can be made to any area of the university that is important to you. All gifts made before June 30, 2006, will count toward the class’s total. Help ’51 continue the leadership it has shown since graduation, in numbers of donors and dollars given.
